Spread some holiday cheer while contributing to a great cause! Join us on Sunday, Dec. 14 for the Vail Recreation District’s 2025 Ugly Sweater Fun Run, a morning run through Vail that supports The Community Market and local toy drives in Eagle. All the toys collected will be donated to local families residing in Eagle County. Sign up now and don’t miss this chance to have a holly-jolly good time while making a positive difference!
Fun for the entire family, the 2025 Ugly Sweater Fun Run is a non-competitive event that will start and finish at Bart & Yeti’s in Lionshead at 8:30 a.m. Two distances will be offered, a 5K and a 3K option. The 5K course is approximately three miles long, weaving in and around Lionshead and Vail Village.
Santa Claus will kick off the merriment by leading runners through town on his fat bike. When you’re done, join us at Bart & Yeti’s for an after-party with free burritos, breakfast beer, hot chocolate and raffle goodies!
Prizes will be awarded at the after-party for the best outfits (adults, kids and dogs) and the biggest donations. Want to get your whole family, friend group or organization involved? We will also be handing out an award to the best-dressed team!
Please sign up in advance at register.vailrec.com. Online registration closes at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec 13. Entry cost is $9 with a donation of food or a new, unwrapped toy for our charitable partners. Click here for a list of food items that will be accepted.
All entry fees go to our charitable partners. We are happy to accept cash donations on race day too!
If you don’t want to run but would still like to donate food or toys, you can drop off your item at the start/finish area from 8 to 11 a.m. on race day.
