The Town of Gypsum has moved into Phase II Water Restrictions.
Here’s what to expect:
RESIDENTIAL IRRIGATION SCHEDULE
To balance system demand, watering days are based on your address:
• Even‑numbered addresses: Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
• Odd‑numbered addresses: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
• No watering on Mondays
IRRIGATION HOURS
• No outdoor watering between 8 a.m & 6 p.m.
PHASE II ADDITIONAL RULES
• Limit vehicle and equipment washing to once per week
• Pools and hot tubs may not be drained and refilled—topping off only
• A 20% surcharge applies to all Tier III users
* Some large water users (schools, parks, HOA’s) may have established watering schedules that are different than residential.
With lower‑than‑average snowpack and reduced stream flows this year, we’re asking everyone to conserve. Under Phase II, that may mean tolerating a lawn that’s not as green or a car that stays dusty a bit longer, but these small changes go a long way in protecting our community and local ecosystems.
