The Vail Recreation District’s KidZone Winter Break Camp offers a variety of fun and engaging activities, crafts, and outings for kids while they’re out of school! Winter Break Camp is based out of Red Sandstone Elementary School in Vail on weekdays from Dec. 20, 2024, through Jan. 6, 2025. The camp is open to kindergartners through fifth graders (ages five to twelve). The cost is $55 per day.

Camp drop off: 7:45 to 9 a.m.

Camp pick up: 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Drop-off and pick-up will be at the east end of the building at the gym doors by the dumpster. Please text or call 970-331-2909 to notify us of pickup outside the identified time.

Sign up at vailrec.com/register. A complete registration form including copies of the child’s up-to-date immunization records are required prior to attending. Paperwork can be found here: KidZone Paperwork Application 2024/25. For questions call (970) 479-2292, or email us at [email protected].

Advanced registration and payment are required and are non-refundable. All reservation cancellations received one week prior to the start of a camp session will be given a refund minus a $10 processing fee. For example, canceling out of Jan. 5, 2025, would need to be done by Dec. 13, 2024 – one week prior to the first day of holiday camp, Dec 20.

Scholarships are available for Winter Break Camp (and other Vail Recreation District programs). Visit vailrec.com for more information and to apply for a scholarship.

Please pack appropriate clothing and footwear for daily activities, and label everything! We plan to be outside each day so be prepared with a full set of snow clothing EVERY day. Campers should bring a lunch, water bottle, extra snacks, hat, coat, boots, gloves, snowpants, and a backpack.

Child not feeling well? Please view How Sick is Too Sick? to determine whether they should stay home.

All fees are included and children may NOT spend additional money while at KidZone
