Drug Take-Back Day Saturday, April 25th

Law enforcement across Eagle County will be participating in the next Drug Enforcement Administration National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10 am – 2 pm.

Local personnel will be on-site and hosting collection sites at the following locations:

Eagle County Sheriff’s Office and Eagle Police Department: City Market Eagle, 103 Market Street, Eagle, CO 81631

Carbondale Police Department will be at the Carbondale Town Hall, 511 Colorado Avenue, Carbondale

For more than a decade, this event has helped Americans easily rid their homes of unneeded medications – those that are old, unwanted, or expired – that too often become a gateway to addiction.

This is an opportunity to clean out your medicine cabinets of tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked.

Collection sites will not accept syringes, sharps, or illicit drugs. Liquid products, such as cough syrup, should remain sealed in their original container. The cap must be tightly sealed to prevent leakage.

Eagle County Household Hazardous Waste offers a collection program for Eagle County residents that accepts sharps and needles. Contact them at 970-328-3463.
